An updated map based on reporting in the Landmine Monitor has been released by the Myanmar Information Management Unit.

The map is based on reporting in the Landmine Monitor reports, and indicates 50 townships within Myanmar in which the Monitor had information that mined areas existed, or in which mine casualties had occurred. The map does not indicate how much of any township is contaminated, it may be a small area within a single village tract, or it may be a more extensive area. That will not be known until a technical survey can take place. The map also shows the location and numbers of casualties recorded by the Landmine Monitor between January & December 2012. The number is not considered comprehensive. The actual number is likely to be higher, possibly much higher. No entity of government provides statistics on the number of people victimized by landmines in a year.

The map is available [here].
