FBR REPORT: Burma Army Kills Two Men and Submits Hundreds to Forced Labor as it Increases Activity in Toungoo District

The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) have stated that the Burma Army ordered villagers to drive their own trucks on the road to check for landmines. The labor was required by the military, no one wanted to do it. The villagers drew lots to decide who would have to go. 

FBR also state that in January 140 men and women in Karen State were forced to carry food along a road and act as human minesweepers, and in February 5 men were forced to carry loads and act as minesweepers.
