AFP:  Medics dice with death in Myanmar jungle warzones, 11 September 2011

Article focuses on the activities of the Back Pack Health Worker Teams, a medical assistance orgnaization which works cross-border from Thailand in conflict areas of Burma.

Since the organization was formed nine of its medics and a midwife were killed either by the Burmese Army or by landmines in the conflict zone.

Accompanying photos show transfer of mine victims in remote jungle areas and also the treatment of a Buddhist monk who was injured by a landmine.
